IPL 2021: Will not comment on controversy over Eoin Morgan’s tweet, says Venky Mysore, CEO of KKR.
IPL 2021: Following a severe reaction from the fans, English skipper Eoin Morgan and his teammate Jos Buttler are under the scanners of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). A few years ago, Morgan and Buttler both made controversial remarks where they were accused of making fun of Indians.
Meanwhile, KKR CEO Venky Mysore has refrained from making any statements regarding Eoin Morgan, who is the current skipper of KKR, due to a lack of clarity.
The CEO of the IPL franchise said they have “zero tolerance” for any kind of discrimination.

“We don’t know enough about it to comment at this time. Let’s wait until the process is complete to get all the facts before drawing any conclusions. Just to repeat, the Knight Riders organization has zero tolerance for any kind of discrimination, ”KKR CEO Venky Mysore told Cricbuzz on Wednesday evening.
Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler both feature in the IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) respectively.
The tweets of the two cricketers resurfaced shortly after English beginner pacemaker Ollie Robinson was suspended right after his first match due to his derogatory comments, especially towards Muslims and people of Asian descent.
Robinson, who wowed everyone with his first performance, was quickly eclipsed by his controversial historical tweets, dating from 2012, 2013.
The England and Wales Cricket Council (ECB) stepped into action and vowed to take appropriate action against the allegations and said each case should be followed up individually.
