During the Big Bash League (BBL) knockout match between Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat in Canberra, opening of Thunder Usman Khawaja had to call for a new lower abdomen guard while knocking in the middle.
The incident took place in the eighth of the first inning. Khawaja showed off a rare but fun spectacle for viewers as she removed her shoes, pads and pants to change her lower abdomen protector.

Brisbane Heat defeated Sydney Thunder by 9 wickets
Heat recovered from 14/2 to chase 159 with five bullets in reserve thanks to Sam Heazlett and Jimmy Peirson’s unbeaten 92-race stand for the second window.
Heazlett scored a 49-ball 74 while Peirson made 43 of 24 deliveries.
The Heat will face Perth Scorchers in The Challenger on Thursday for a spot in Saturday’s final against the defending champion Sydney sixers.
The Challenger will be played in Canberra, having been moved from Perth due to a five-day lockdown implemented by the Western Australian government.
