Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer T Natarajan has been excluded from the current IPL due to a knee injury which will require surgery.
Natarajan, 30, had only played two of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s four games this season. He first suffered the injury while touring Australia earlier this year.
“I’m sad to miss the remaining matches (this IPL). As I played well last season and played for India, my expectations were high. Unfortunately I have to have knee surgery and I will miss this season, ”said the yorker specialist in a video posted by Sunrisers Hyderabad on his official twitter account.
However, he did not specify when the operation will take place.
“I have no words to say at the moment. I wish the Sunrisers would come out and win every game this season. Best wishes, ”added the bowler.

“Natarajan never fully recovered from his knee injury,” a BCCI source told PTI on Thursday on condition of anonymity, but did not specify how long he would be unavailable.
“He went into rehab at the NCA (National Cricket Academy) but it is now evident that even when he was declared fit to make a comeback against England he was not 100 percent ready for the match.
“Now he could be out for a longer period as he rushed his return without doing proper rehab,” the source added, referring to the T20 and ODI he played during the series in England.
Natarajan became an overnight sensation with his Yorkers to the death at the last IPL and went on to play all three formats for India in Australia.
Once back in India, the BCCI never made public that he had injured his knee.
