Sri Lanka: Bhanuka Rajapaksa fined for slamming a cricket plateau

Sri Lankan T20 player Bhanuka Rajapaksa was fined $ 5,000 and suspended for one year on Monday for giving interviews critical of the leadership of the national board.

Sri Lanka Cricket said the 29-year-old broke his contract with interviews given to local media and social media platforms.

However, his ban was suspended for two years and the board said Rajapaksa was included in a training squad for a series against India from July 13.
