SRH skipper David Warner doubtful for IPL 2021: IPL 2021

IPL 2021: SRH skipper David Warner doubtful for IPL 2021.

IPL 2021 – SRH Skipper David Warner: Australian left-handed drummer and Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner doubts his participation in the upcoming Indian extravaganza T20. Warner sustained a groin injury in the 2nd India-Australia ODI match as a result of which he was ruled out for the entire T20I series and the first two test matches.

Although the dashing opener returned to the pitch in the penultimate test match against India, there was clearly a sign of a slight problem. Warner was not fully recovered from his injury and was not nimble in the field.

It could take at least nine months: David Warner

According to David Warner, his groin injury could take a few more months to fully recover. He is completing his rehabilitation program.

“Next week, I will resume the throws. It was very difficult the last few weeks, even trying to throw. Now it’s all about sideways movement – running between the wickets. This will make me worse for the next six to nine months. But I’m sure the medicos will help me there, ”Warner said.

As his rehab program could last around nine months, he could miss the next IPL season. Cricket Australia will also be concerned about the player’s fitness as the ICC T20 World Cup is not far away and they want him to be in good shape at that time. CA could restrict the player from participating in the IPL, completing rehab and being fit for the T20 World Cup later this year.

“I’ve spoken to a few people who have had this type of injury and they just said it’s a disadvantage. You just need to teach your brain not to worry about the pain and that it won’t happen again. It’s just about getting that confidence back to dodge and run as hard as you can and dive again. Once I understand, I’ll be right to leave. It’s just not 100% yet, ”Warner said.

Warner may not be awarded the NOC (No Objection Certificate) from Cricket Australia for the IPL season. This could be a huge problem for SSR management. Although they are relaxed from the captain’s point of view, Kane Williamson will be there. But Warner’s absence could lead to an imbalance in the squad as they will have to put someone in first place along with Wridhiman Saha.
