Following the injury, DC management trusted young left-handed wicket keeper Rishabh Pant and handed him the leadership roles.

The drummer further stated that he was unsure of the rank of captain. He believes the team is doing well under Rishabh Pant and his main goal is to lift the trophy, the rest will be in the hands of the owners.
Delhi Capitals (DC) currently lead the 2021 IPL points table with six wins in eight outings under Rishabh Pant.
