Sanju Samson on RR’s loss of 10 wickets against RCB

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson said RR needs to go back and look at what was wrong after the team found themselves on the path to destruction in the IPL 2021 edition after losing their recent match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by a margin of 10 wickets.

Sanju Samson’s RR lost the draw to RCB’s Virat Kohli and was asked to strike first on a flat Mumbai track. It was a challenge to put a huge score on this site as twice, totals of almost 220 and above were in danger of being chased. However, it was not to be for RR as they ended up 43/4 in 7 overs.

This included Jos Buttler for 8, Manan Vohra for 7, David Miller for a duck and captain Sanju Samson for 21 races. The Royals couldn’t recover from that collapse early on and despite contributions from Shivam Dube (46), Riyan Parag (25) and Rahul Tewatia (40), the Royals were able to manage 177/9 in 20 overs.

Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel chose three wickets each, then the RCB openers demolished the Rajasthan bowlers, hitting them in all parts of Wankhede Stadium and not letting them choose even one wicket.

I’m sure we’ll be back: Sanju Samson

During the post-match interview, Sanju Samson was asked to respond to the RCB innings that dominated RR bowling and he could only praise the shots from Virat and Padikkal. He also said the Rajasthan Royals need a little time to figure out what is wrong with this game and come back stronger.

“They hit really well. We did well to get this score on the board after the first wickets. We need to go back and do some homework. We have to be honest with ourselves and come back better. Need some time to look into what went wrong and figure out, I’m sure we’ll be back. This game… it gets you down, but you have to find a way and come out better. “ Samson said.

The Rajasthan Royals are now back at the bottom of the 2021 IPL points table and face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 24 in Mumbai.
