Royal Challengers Bangalore appoint Sanjay Bangar as batting consultant

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were the first Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise to announce the list of their players released and retained before the January 20 deadline. After failing to win the 2020 IPL, the franchise is determined to start over and have therefore hired former Indian all-rounder Sanjay Bangar as a batting consultant for the coming season.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) last played in the IPL final in 2016 and were last on the points table in IPL 2017 and IPL 2019. They changed things up a bit in IPL 2020 by qualifying for the qualifiers but were eliminated from the race for the final, after losing the Eliminator to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
