Rohit Sharma Shadow Bats On The Field As He Emulates Steve Smith

Indian cricket team vice-captain Rohit Sharma was seen in the shadows on Monday as India faced Australia on day four of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy final test. Rohit, much to his counterpart, Steve Smith has been seen practicing his skills near the pitch while India were lined up in the third round.

After winning the draw, the Australians chose to beat first. Marnus Labuschagne was once again their hero scoring a scintillating ton to lead Australia to a score of 369 points in the opening innings. In response, India’s tails showed massive resilience and the Indian stick ended 33 points below the Australian total. Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur have sewn together a century-old stand for the Indian team.

Rohit Sharma faced a lot of criticism for his poor selection of shots in the second set. He left for a well established score of 44 points. However, he made it clear that he didn’t regret playing a lackluster shot against Nathan Lyon that knocked him out in the second round of the Brisbane Test.

However, on Monday, a video appeared online showing how very determined Rohit Sharma is. Rohit has been seen batting shadow on the crease, much like his counterpart Steve Smith.

Australia approaches a giant runway

the Australian cricket team leads to a giant lead in the third round as they look set to give India a gigantic total to chase. Steve Smith was the batter’s choice as he scored a fine half-century, but was quickly sacked by Mohammed Siraj. Australia are close to a 300-point lead and Gabba’s surface has started to behave indifferently.

Indian batsmen will have to put a stronghold on the crease once they come in to beat as they aspire to win this test and the streak. Even if the Indian team manages to draw the match, they will surely retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which in itself will be a feat for the team.
