The CSK player took 4 catches while lining up, tying the record for most catches taken in a handle. The Chennai Super Kings beat the Rajasthan Royals by 45 points, having smashed 188-9 by hitting first at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Ravindra Jadeja’s phone call celebration goes viral

Ravindra Jadeja was on the pitch at the deep back point when Jaydev Unadkat hit a shot in her direction. Jadeja grabbed the ball perfectly and celebrated it by showing her four fingers to express that it was her fourth take of the game. Jadeja, 32, caught her first half-wicket catch, helping to kick Manan Vohra out of Sam Curran’s bowl. In 14th place behind Moeen Ali, he again caught Riyan Parag’s shot at mid-wicket. After four catches, Jadeja tied the record for most catches in the IPL heats. Players like Sachin Tendulkar, Faf du Plessis and David Warner also achieved this feat in IPL. Besides four brilliant catches, Ravindra Jadeja also picked two wickets in the game. He played Jos Buttler and also fired Shivam Dube through LBW. At batting, Jadeja scored 18 points on 15 balls.

The match against Rajasthan Royals was almost a one-sided affair for Chennai Super Kings. the MS Dhoni and co. managed to put pressure on the Rajasthani Royals early in 2nd sleeves, taking wickets at regular intervals. The Chennai Super Kings have so far won 2 out of 3 matches in the 2021 IPL.

CSK will take on Kolkata Knight Riders when they next meet. The match will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 21.
