Having been chosen by Chennai Super Kings at the Indian Premier League player auction earlier this week, Cheteshwar Pujara is delighted to return to the IPL fold after 2014.
He is also confident that the IPL will not hamper his preparation for India’s five-test series in England starting in August.

“It’s good to be back. I would like to thank CSK for choosing me. As for county cricket, I will still have enough time before playing in England. There will be a window where I can play a few games of the county. In addition, we will also have a few warm-up matches before the series in England. I will take this call after the IPL is finished or halfway through the IPL, ”Pujara said.
“I still want to read shorter formats and it’s good to be back in IPL. After this round of tests is completed I will focus on the IPL and once the IPL is completed I will think about the England test round which is large. We are also hopeful of going into the final of the World Test Championship in June. One thing at a time.”
