Monday evening February 22, Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators will face off at the National Stadium (Karachi) in the fourth match of the PSL 2021.
The two teams will play their second match of this new PSL 2021. In their opening match of this PSL season, while Qalandars won a 4-wicket victory, the Gladiators lost by 7 wickets.
PSL 2020 finalist Lahore Qalandars started PSL 2021 on a solid footing with a four-wicket victory over Peshawar Zalmi on Sunday afternoon.
Left arm stimulator Shaheen Shah Afridi | dominated the ball in hand from the very first ball of the game, where he dismissed opener Imam-ul-Haq for a golden duck. Later, during the death overs, he took two other crucial wickets from Sherfane Rutherford (26) and Ravi Bopara (50). His incredible 4-1-14-3 bowling numbers were the reason Zalmi only managed to score 140/6.
Another 27-year-old left arm stimulator Salman Mirza, who made his T20 debut in Lahore Qalandars’ opener this season, also played very well with the new ball as he dismissed other opener Kamran Akmal (5 ) and Haider Ali (0) in the same course and finished with the bowling numbers of 4-0-35-2.
While South African all-rounder David Wiese (1/30) also secured a wicket, Afghan leg spinner Rashid Khan was very economical with bowling numbers of 4-0-14-0.
In response, the top notch drummers of Lahore Qalandars struggled. But Mohammad Hafeez played a very crucial role with the support of the other batsmen, as his 33 steps out of 26 balls (5 fours) was one of the reasons his team managed to chase the target. However, Rashid Khan once again played a very crucial role with the bat, as his 27 steps on 15 balls (3 fours and 1 sixes) was another reason for their successful pursuit.

2019 PSL winners Quetta Gladiators have a very weak start in 2021 PSL as they suffered a 7-wicket loss to defending champions Karachi Kings in that opener. Gladiators led by Sarfaraz Ahmed will do their best to get out of this embrace zone very early.
Although a Caribbean superstar Chris Gayle started this tournament positively scoring 39 points out of 24 balls (4 fours and 2 sixes), all other batsmen failed to reach the 20 point mark in this round with the Quetta Gladiators all-out for only 121 points in 18.2 overs.

Quetta Gladiators will surely have to improve their team’s performance very quickly.
