Hello and welcome to Sportstar’s LIVE coverage of IPL 2021 Game 14 as the Punjab Kings take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

SRH 50/0 after 6 overruns: The fifty point stand between Warner and Bairstow is in place and what a great start it has been for the openers from Hyderabad. In pursuit of a modest total, the team required a solid start and it was Captain Warner leading the way. The Punjab needs clustered ATMs.

SRH 40/0 after 5 passages: Bairstow doesn’t hold back as he pulls Moises Henriques on the long leg to the max and Sunrisers gets off to a fiery start in the pursuit of 121.

SRH 33/0 after 4 passages: Bairstow and Warner are currently dealing in singles as Arshdeep Singh is introduced in the attack and the two batsmen appear somewhat settled in the middle.

SRH 27/0 after 3 overs: Warner was screwed if Fabian Allen hit the stumps as the SRH skipper responded for a quick single. SRH is chasing a small target but cannot afford to lose wickets as it will be difficult for the new batsman to play shots at will.

SRH 17/0 after 2 overs: Very well Jonny Bairstow first welcomes Fabian Allen with a limit, then finishes with a nice six at the halfway point while SRH started in the chase.

SRH 6/0 after 1 on: Warner is operational because Shami offers width and the SRH skipper recognizes with a cut point. Bairstow is also irrelevant.

Very good SRH openersDavid Warner and Jonny Bairstow are over there in the middle and it will be Mohammed Shami with the new ball. SRH needs 121 races to get the first victory.

End of sleeves: PBKS 120 all out in 19.4 overs: Sunrisers Hyderabad will believe they can record the first points on board after playing Punjab for 120. It was a brilliant spectacle from the SRH bowlers as Khaleel was the star with a three-wicket transport and Abhishek Sharma played with two, with Rashid Khan trapping the dangerous Chris Gayle. The Punjab continued to lose at regular intervals and never entered into a partnership as the team led by KL Rahul posted the lowest total at Chepauk in IPL 2021. Back for the pursuit in a moment.

PBKS 114/8 after 19 overs: Khaleel Ahmed has picked his third wicket and he takes out the dangerous Shahrukh Khan, who has gone for a savage job only to spoon an easy grip at the deep defender.

PBKS 110/7 after 18 overs: Top things from Siddharth Kaul as he keeps Shahrukh Khan at bay with a wide yorker and the Punjab is in desperate need of meaty strikes in the final two overs.

PBKS 102/7 after 17 overs: Khaleel Ahmed picks his second wicket and West Indian Fabian Allen’s fight in the crease ends with the newbie making just 6 out of 11 balls. Sunrisers aim to close and Punjab needs at least 140 to post a tough total .

PBKS 98/6 after 16 overs: Rashid Khan completes his four-overs quota 4-0-17-1 and he has the prized scalp of Chris Gayle. Best Bowler

PBKS 94/6 after 15 overs: Shahrukh Khan plays powerful punches as this time he sends Siddharth Kaul high above the deep center wicket for maximum. The sunrisers will aim to choose another couple of wickets and will not allow the Punjab to bloom late.

PBKS 84/6 after 14 overs: WICKET! Abhishek Sharma strikes and he kicks Moises Henriques who falls for a 17-ball 14. Henriques puts on the dancing shoes but fails to reach the ball court as he tries to get in backwards and Jonny Bairstow whips them. bails in a flash. Shahrukh Khan, meanwhile, flexed his muscles to the max on a deep square leg.

PBKS 75/5 after 13 overs: Great batsman Shahrukh Khan is in the middle, but the Tamil Nadu batsman has to curb his natural strokeplay and has to build a partnership with Henriques. Rashid finished with his third, giving nine and SRH will be looking to finish well.

PBKS 66/5 after 12 overs: WICKET! Abhishek Sharma strikes and he traps Deepak Hooda. The Punjab opted for the review, but the decision on the pitch remains as Hooda missed the ball after it got mixed up and the ball just cut through the leg stump.

PBKS 60/4 after 11 overs: Deepak Hooda is on the charge and a fiery Rashid is tempting the batsman after Hooda performs a reverse sweep towards the third man limit. We must be careful and not get carried away because the Punjab needs a partnership.

PBKS 53/4 after 10 overs: The Punjab is in desperate need of a partnership and Henriques and Hooda must partner to keep SSR at bay. Having chosen a wicket, Rashid will now seek to embarrass drummers with his variations.

PBKS 47/4 after 9 overs: Rashid Khan strikes in his very first shot and he traps the dangerous Chris Gayle. Rashid gets the ball to beat Gayle’s defense and he knocked it out of the stump. The West Indies are not reviewing it and SRH is clearly on top for the time being. Moises Henriques is the new man.

SRH 45/3 after 8 overs: WICKET! The sunrisers are back in the game and this time around, skipper David Warner hits the bulls to catch Nicholas Pooran long before his fold. Gayle hit Shankar for cover, called for a quick single, Pooran responded but was very tight and Warner with a direct hit brought some smiles into the orange dugout. SRH had the Punjab four down only for Siddarth Kaul who spoiled a simple thin-leg hold as Deepak Hooda survives.

PBKS 39/2 after 7 overs: Big Wicket as Khaleel AHmed strikes to take down Mayank Agarwal and it’s a fantastic capture from Rashid Khan. He dropped a keeper but gets his man because this time Mayank tries to shoot but fails to get the elevation and Rashid puts his hands under the ball and takes a good low grip.

PBKS 32/1 after 6 overs: Mayank really has a hard time timing because once he deliberately cuts Bhuvneshwar and the ball goes through the vacant slip cordon for a limit. This will be the end of PowerPlay.

PBKS 26/1 after 5 overs: Chris Gayle goes down blocks with a limit in the middle and going through the procedure the application will be the key on a slow Chepauk track. The ball does not reach the stick and the batsmen must wait before engaging in the shots.

Siddharth Kaul in the attack

PBKS 19/1 after 4 overs: Bhuvneshwar strikes and he kidnaps the big fish KL Rahul and it is a blow to Punjab. KL opted for the draw but the sluggishness of the wicket didn’t allow the ball to come to bat and the batsman ended up throwing a single strike at Kedar Jadhav in the middle of the wicket. Chris Gayle joins Mayank Agarwal.

PBKS 15/0 after 3 overs: First limit for Mayank Agarwal because Khaleel offers width and Mayank rises above the rebound and takes it over a point for a limit.

Khaleel Ahmed in the attack

PBKS 9/0 after 2 overs: Bhuvneshwar Kumar starts off decently and most importantly does not concede a limit, as both Mayank and Rahul are irrelevant. It is important for the Sunrisers to overcome fall catches and seek out the first wickets.

PBKS 3/0 after 1 over: DROPPED! Rashid Khan drops a Guardian and gives Mayank Agarwal a life! Great start from left arm spinner Abhishek Sharma and there is just a hint of a turn and he almost had Mayank, had no Rashid, who ran to his left and put in the slide in the middle of the deep wicket but the ‘spilled. It sounds too hard!

Take out the Punjab openers – KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal on a hot and sunny afternoon in Chennai. Sunrisers will be looking to get their first points on board and they have to start well. Turn right away and it will be Abhishek Sharma with the new ball.

The Sunrisers started off with three straight losses, ceding the advantage of promising positions in all three pursuits. They must resolve their confusion of an intermediate order.

David Warner and Jonny Bairstow have been aggressive, but there are still question marks over Hyderabad’s batting lineup, especially around Manish Pandey, who failed to close the games.

Kane Williamson, if he’s fit, should play. Bairstow donning the supportive gloves could allow Kedar Jadhav to replace Wriddhiman Saha.
