IPL 2021: Mujtaba Yousuf called Mumbai Indians to the runways ahead of the IPL 2021 auction.
Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021: The 2021 IPL auction will be on the table on February 18 in Chennai and the franchises will leave no stone unturned to strengthen their team. The Mumbai Indians got a head start and invited the 19-year-olds from Jammu Kashmir for the trials.
The five-time champions were impressed with Mujtaba Yousuf – a 19-year-old pacemaker from the town of Bijbehara in South Kashmir and invited the pacemaker for testing ahead of the IPL 2021 auction. Yousuf was seen playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020-21 recently concluded and caught the attention of all Scout Talent Teams.
Playing for his national team, Mujtaba Yousuf has remained economical after playing four games and picking five scalps. According to reports from Jammu Kashmir, the young rider is heading straight for Mumbai after completing the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for trails.
According to some reports, teams of talent scouts from each franchise were present in Bangalore during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy to select the best and young emerging talents. Mujtaba Yousuf impressed everyone with his skills and economical bowling. In the first few encounters Jammu Kashmir did not include the stimulator, but when he had the chance he did not disappoint himself and his team.
Mujtaba was the net bowler for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2020. He went to the UAE with the franchise to take part in the operations of KKR. He also actively participates in junior camps in India.
According to reports from Great Cashmere, the young stimulator is also called by Rajasthan Royals for the selections with his counterpart Auquib Nabi.
Both players will travel directly to the Rajasthan camps for further assessment.
