MS Dhoni became the first player to lead a team in 200 T20 games.
The Chennai Super Kings have recorded their second consecutive victory in IPL 2021, beating the Rajasthan Royals by 45 points. Rajasthan, on the other hand, faced their second defeat in three games played so far. RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss and invited CSK to strike first. The Chennai team did not get off to a good start as young opener Ruturaj Gaikwad again failed with the bat.
Most of the CSK batsmen got off to a good start, but they couldn’t convert it to a big score. Chennai posted a total of 188/9 in 20 overs with the best score of Faf du Plessis. Chetan Sakariya picked up 3 wickets in his 4 overs for 36 races. Chris Morris also performed well with the ball taking 2 wickets for 33 races.
In pursuit of that total, Jos Buttler gave RR a good start with 49 points on 35 balls. However, the RR batting lineup collapsed after the opener’s wicket. Rajasthan could only manage 143/9 losing the game by 45 points. Moeen Ali took 3 wickets for just 7 points in his 3 overs.
