Mithali Raj becomes the best run-getter in international women’s cricket

Mithali Raj passed England’s Charlotte Edwards as the top scorer in international women’s cricket in the 3rd ODI against England on Saturday.

Raj has 669 races in the tests, 7,244 * races in the ODIs and 2,364 races in the T20Is.

The talismanic hitter from India hit the milestone with a ground limit from Nat Schiver in the 23rd.

The former top scorer in women’s cricket was Charlotte Edwards, who has 10,273 points in international cricket. Edwards and Raj are the only two women with over 10,000 races in international cricket.

Two Indians now have the most races in international cricket – Sachin Tendulkar and Mithali Raj – both of whom coincidentally made their Indian debuts at the age of 16 and 205 days.

India runs after 220 to win the 3rd ODI. India Women had already lost the three-game ODI streak to England Women after losing the first two WODIs.
