Crystal Palace are set to close a five-year deal for Chelsea defender Marc Guehi.
The England Under-21 international passed his medical exam on Thursday and will sign his contract in the coming days.
The 21-year-old has had two loan spells at Swansea and has two years left at Stamford Bridge.
Palace, led by new manager Patrick Vieira, is looking to refresh his team and lower the average age.
He will become Vieira’s third signing after Palace makes deals for Michael Olise and goalkeeper Remi Matthews.
Earlier Thursday, defender Joel Ward pledged his future at the club by signing a two-year contract.
The Eagles have also announced that Kristian Wilson will join the Vieira backstage team as the first team coach.
