Live Score updates England Women vs India Women third ODI in Worcester: Shikha continues. Scivering with an overwhelming limit to beat Jhulan halfway through, she chooses the half volley outside Pandey to initiate the limit. Eight less.
Overview, 3rd ODI: India impressed in the four-day format against England despite having played a test for the first time since 2014. But their ODI performance so far has been pretty dismal. Two out of every two losses, India will face England in the final game of the series at New Road in Worcester in an effort to secure a consolation victory.
The Indian hitters, with the exception of Mithali Raj, failed to find form in both matches, forcing the visitors to aim for a lower-than-par goal each time.
As Raj has hit two fifties in a row, veteran Harmanpreet is under heavy scrutiny due to her prolonged poor form. Since the 2017 ODI World Cup, Harmanpreet has only made two fifties and the lack of runs from his bat has made India’s intermediate order very unstable.
Indian team management is hoping for a good exit from Harmanpreet as they aim to sort out batting issues and make progress on the low scoring rate.
India’s bowling in the second ODI was much better than the previous game. Jhulan Goswami was well supported by seamstress Shikha Pandey and leg spinner Poonam Yadav finally broke the wicket drought. Raj is hoping for another good day at the office for his bowlers.
England have played very good cricket and are only one sweep away in the series, which the hosts will certainly want to achieve.
