Will Sunrisers Hyderabad play the same single for two consecutive matches in this tournament?
Sunrisers Hyderabad finally came to victory in the IPL 2021, when they beat the Punjab Kings in the previous match at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Their fifth and final game at the venue will be against the Delhi Capitals, who have a solid roster and have won their only game at the venue so far. After constantly changing the suit, Sunrisers finally got a few points. The big question is whether they will make a change in the XI even after a win.
Here’s the predicted XI of Sunrisers Hyderabad squad for their game against the Delhi Capitals:
Openers (David Warner and Jonny Bairstow)
David Warner is one of the best T20 drummers in the world and there’s a reason the Hyderabad team are still looking forward to him making them a big star. In the previous game he got off to a good start and started doing a few runs under his belt before going out.
That said, he would be well aware that he needs some big runs under his belt to make sure his team is doing well. His partner Jonny Bairstow, on the other hand, will be optimistic after scoring a brilliant fifty in the previous game and reportedly looking to continue his form.
Intermediate Order (Kane Williamson, Virat Singh, Kedar Jadhav)
Kane Williamson’s entry to the Sunrisers HyderabadThe batting unit made the team much more powerful. The addition of the New Zealander ensured the team would have someone in the middle range to balance inexperience. One thing that will concern the team management as this game draws closer is that the new intermediate order did not have a chance to beat in the previous game.
Virat Singh is a talented national player and the Sunrisers Hyderabad team have trusted the position in the middle range which should give the youngster enormous confidence. On top of that there is Kedar Jadhav, who has a lot of experience and was among the races before he came to the league.
Versatile (Vijay Shankar and Abhishek Sharma)
Abhishek Sharma’s four-strike streak in the previous game helped the Sunrisers Hyderabad get into the game early and put pressure on the Punjab Kings. Sharma played on the power play in the previous game and it will be interesting to see if he continues to play the same role for Hyderabad. Vijay Shankar can play a few overs on this track as well, but his main role in the team would be to take some responsibility with the bat.
Bowlers (Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Siddharth Kaul)
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowling unit has looked strong for a long time. However, there were issues that caused them to collectively not do well. There is a hard blow because T Natarajan is excluded from the tournament due to injury. Khaleel Ahmed, who replaced the Tamil Nadu seamstress in the team, has done well so far, having picked up four wickets.
There is also a cloud of concern around Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The speedster went off the field in the previous game and did not return to the bowling alley. Siddharth Kaul, who made a comeback for SRH, in the previous game is also expected to continue to keep his place. If Bhuvi recovers the line-up should be the same, otherwise they might have thought of a replacement.
