Kings XI Punjab new logo and new name, Punjab Kings

IPL Auction 2021: New Logo and Name of Kings XI Punjab, Punjab Kings.

New logo and name of Kings XI Punjab: The Mohali-based franchise was in talks to rename its identity from 2021 after the franchise suffered a disastrous debacle during the last release. Kings XI Punjab wanted to change the name and logo and on Tuesday the franchise announced that Kings XI Punjab will now be called “Punjab Kings”.

Initially, the franchise did not reveal the franchise’s new logo, but on Wednesday Punjab Kings on Twitter shared a photo of the franchise’s new logo.

Pretty Zinta, Ness Wadia, Mohit Burman and Karan Paul, owners of the Punjab Kings, will attend the highly anticipated 2021 IPL auction with the new identity.

The franchise obtains an unofficial authorization for the new identity while the written notice has not yet been sent by BCCI, although this is a formality.

Speaking about the new brand identity, team CEO Satish Menon said: “Punjab Kings is a more evolved brand name and we understand that now is the time for us to focus on the main brand itself.”

“The brand identity change is not about changing our brand ethics, but about celebrating our uniqueness while we are in unity as a family. The new logo honors the liveliness and dynamism of the brand and provides modern elements, while setting us apart from the rest of the teams.

The franchise is yet to win its first IPL title as the franchise reached the final once in 2014. The final season for the Punjab Kings was more like a roller coaster ride.

KL Rahul initially lost two straight games, but after Chris Gayle returned, KXIP won five games on the Trott to keep the playoff campaign alive.

KXIP will head to the 2021 IPL auction with the highest market value (INR 53.20 crore) and will need to fill 9 slots.
