Archer had returned home halfway through his tour of India to seek treatment for a worsening elbow injury. It was later revealed that he suffered a cut to the middle finger of his right hand in January ahead of the India tour.
Given the timeline set by the ECB for Archer’s return, he is likely to miss the entire IPL season and can look forward to playing in the county championship in mid-May.
