IPL 2022: IPL teams who can buy David Warner in the IPL 2022 mega auction.
IPL 2022: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) sacked Australian opener David Warner from the harbor office on Saturday and handed the reins to Kiwi Kane Williamson for the rest of the Indian T20 League. Although the team’s fortunes remained the same, Rajasthan Royals (RR) crushed SRH by 55 points in the last game.
There is no official reason or statement as to why the decision was made, however, according to reports, there was a rift between David Warner and the management of Sunrisers Hyderabad due to which he was dismissed from his post.
In the post-game presentation after the game against the Delhi (DC) Capitals, Warner mentioned that it wasn’t his decision to bench Manish Pandey, but that the franchise wanted him. Warner has also struggled to score quick points this season. He amassed 193 points in 6 games for SRH with a strike rate of 110.
After all of this, it certainly looks like SRH could leave David Warner in the 2022 Mega Auction. Although Warner, with his impressive stats in IPL history, will certainly find buyers and here we will discuss the potential franchise that could bid for it.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):
The two-time champion side, KKR struggled with their openers in Vivo IPL 2021. With plenty of opportunities ahead, workers Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana failed to play a big part in the squad and have lost the early windows.
KKR head coach Brendon McCullam said in an interview that they will find different combinations in the matches ahead.
The franchise will be keen to buy David Warner and pair him with Shubman Gill during IPL 2022.
