RR 93/3 in 10 overs: That’s Ashwin’s good. No limits.
Ashwin replaces Richardson
RR 87/3 in 9 overs: Slower ball first and Samson hits it long for a huge six! FALL! Samson despises a colossal effort and Mayank lets him down for a long time.
RR 78/3 in 8 overs: WICKET! Slower, fuller ball from Richardson who tricked Buttler into having him cleaned up. Shivam Dube departs from the goal with a limit behind the square.
Richardson is back for his 2nd.
RR 68/2 in 7 overs: Freehit for Buttler and he slams Ashwin in front of him for a four. Loud LBW appealed against Samson but the referee refused.

RR 48/2 in 5 overs: Buttler greets him with a thrust past the halfway point for a four and follows him with a sliced drive past the point for four more. He crosses and lifts it for four more. RR 30/2 in 4 overs: WICKET! Superb captured and daring take of Arshdeep to take out Vohra. Jos Buttler is the new man. FALL! Samson goes for the expansive drive and gets a thick advantage, but Rahul puts it down. Samson guides the last ball past the short third man for a four.
Arshdeep replaces Richardson.
RR 25/1 in 3 overs: Mohammed Shami has been on the money so far. He’s making a comeback after a long layoff for injury. National selectors will follow closely. Slight delay in the game while the physio takes care of Samson. The skipper collects two limits during the recovery.
RR 17/1 in 2 overs: Vohra throws him behind the square leg for a six to get out of goal. He now puts it behind for a four. FALL! Murugan Ashwin at the third man drops Vohra after juggling.

RR 4/1 in 1 on: WICKET! Stokes falls in love with a third ball duck. He confuses his pull and tucks her high in the air and Shami finishes the capture, but not before tangling with Rahul. Shami did well to hang on to it. Samson is the new drummer and he stands out with a four.

PBKS 221/6 in 20 overs: Full and wide allows Rahul to place him on the covers for a four. He entered the 90s. COUNTER! It took an incredible effort to end Rahul’s outburst. Superb catch from Rahul Tewatia at deep mid-wicket, where he had to catch it, throw it, go out to the limit before coming back to complete the catch. Sakariya ends with Richardson’s wicket. Only five races from the top. 4-0-31-3 for Sakriya on her IPL debut.

He forgets one and Parag takes a comfortable long-term grip. 64 out of 28 for Hooda. Rahul doesn’t let go, however. Short ball and he beats it for six others! 200 for the Punjab! COUNTER! Short and to the side of the leg and Pooran pulls him towards Sakariya with the short, thin leg, where he takes a flying grip. Long delay for the third referee to check if it was a net catch. OUT comes the signal. Morris finished with 4-0-41-2.

PBKS 187/2 in 17 overs: The youngster got off to a good start. 2 runs from first before throwing a slower, shorter ball which Hooda shoots behind for a four. Full of Sakariya but Hooda digs it and gets a good connection straight to get four more. No ball and a free kick. He ends the end with four more.

PBKS 172/2 in 16 overs: Oh my … Full delivery and Hooda the muscle on a deep midwicket for a whopping six! Sixth maximum for Hooda. Fifty of 20 bullets for Hooda.
PBKS 161/2 in 15 overs: DROPPED! Hooda goes for another big one but he’s wrong; Buttler running behind drops the skier. However, Stokes was in a better position for capture. Short ball and Rahul is in the act now; pulls it behind for a six. 11 is executed from above.

Gopals follows Hooda’s move offside, but the batter threw him deep into the stands for a third six! Five sixes for Hooda in just 15 bullets. His (continuous) cameo placed the Punjab for a huge total.
PBKS 130/2 in 13 overs: And Rahul likes it. In the slot and Rahul hits it straight over the limit for a six. The skipper brings his fifty balls back out of 30. A full draw and Hooda literally crushes him on the deep midwicket for a six! In the lunge again and Dube kneels down to smooth him over some extra blanket for a third six of the over.

Interesting from Parag, because he makes his own version of Kedhar Jadhav. The referee tells him how low his side arm can go. COUNTER! And he’s got the big man, Gayle! Stokes redeems himself by running on the field to take a superb low catch. Deepak Hooda is promoted to No.4.

Another short ball and Gayle crushes it directly onto Tewatia, who can’t hold it back. He takes the extra life by smashing it high in the stands for a six!

PBKS 58/1 in 7 overs: DROPPED! Stokes did well to get to the end of Rahul’s loft practice but he fumbles the ball over the boundary ropes. Shreyas drops him and Gayle crushes the ball to the limit of extra coverage.

PBKS 46/1 in 6 overs: Morris wedges him completely and this allows Gayle to free his arms and smooth him halfway up for a limit. Nevertheless, a good household of the most expensive acquisition of the IPL.

PBKS 22/1 in 3 overs: WICKET! Sakariya gets her first wicket! Mayank makes room and tries to get him on top of the covers but ends up having a thick edge behind Samson. Mayank leaves for 14. The Punjab got off to a good start without having to take a lot of risks before Mayank went looking there. Chris Gayle is # 3.
PBKS 20/0 in 2 overs: The Fiz causes him to drift and trap Mayank’s pad but the referee dismisses the calls. Ball tracker watch three reds… The Royals have not exhausted their criticism. Mustafizur, too, drifts on the pads of the last ball and Mayank the clock between the mid-on and the midwicket shorts for a limit.

PBKS 10/0 in 1 on: Short and wide at first to Mayank which allows him to free his arms. The opener cuts past the point outfielder for a limit. Mayank goes for a single after pushing it halfway, and was reportedly taken aback with a direct hit from Morris. Sakariya drifts onto the pads and Rahul ties the ball behind for another limit.

KL Rahul comes out to open the sleeves alongside Mayank Agarwal. The pair had great success together at the top last season: 671 points in 11 innings.
