Chennai Super Kings batting coach Michael Hussey tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, a day after IPL team bowling coach L. Balaji returned positive for the virus.
This was confirmed by sources in the Indian Premier League (IPL) hours after the 14th edition of the lucrative T20 league was suspended indefinitely due to an outbreak of COVID-19 in its bio-bubble.

Hussey’s test reports arrived on Tuesday.
“Hussey was tested and his sample came back positive. We sent him in for a retest, but it also came back positive,” an IPL source said. PTI.
CSK bowling coach Balaji as well as Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers Sandeep Warrier and Varun Chakravarthy also returned positive results on Monday.
The spread of infections had led to the postponement of two IPL games earlier.
The league suspension was announced after Wriddhiman Saha, wicket keeper and batsman for Sunrisers Hyderabad, tested positive for COVID-19 with Delhi Capitals spinner veteran Amit Mishra.
