Punjab Kings was yet another franchise that remained busier than most. Punjab Kings have invested heavily to bolster their fast bowling service by recruiting Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith, distributing INR 14 and 8 crore respectively. But their respective best buy was from Dawid Malan, the number one T20I drummer, at a base price of INR 1.50 crore.
With Malan on their side, they have a happy headache with five specialist forerunners by their side, including the English southpaw, captain KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Mandeep Singh and Mayank Agarwal.

The Punjab-based franchise has also invested in strengthening its versatile unit by launching Shahrukh Khan and Moises Henriques – both of whom are capable T20 players. On the other hand, buying the versatile Jalaj Saxena was also smart. Thus, their performance at the IPL 2021 auction could be rated 8.5 out of ten. And we could probably see them lift the IPL title in 2020 and end their quest at last.
