Booking of tickets for the third test between India and England at the world’s largest cricket stadium here in Motera will start from Sunday, Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) officials said.
Authorities have decided to allow 50% of spectators inside Motera Stadium for the last two test matches of the four-game series, GCA officials added.
England will play two tests, including a day and night match, and five T20 internationals against India at the stadium, which has a capacity of one lakh ten thousand spectators, making it the world’s largest in sport .
GCA Vice President Dhanraj Nathwani said GCA is honored to host the series after COVID-19’s forced hiatus and looks forward to entertaining fans who will be held to all standards social distancing and security.

“We hope that normalcy will return soon and we will see the stadium filled with supporters applauding from all stands for their teams,” he said.
Nathwani thanked BCCI secretary Jay Shah for awarding two tests and five T20 internationals at the newly constructed stadium.
The pink ball test, the third game in the series, will start on February 24, for which tickets were sold between Rs 300 and Rs 1000.
Another GCA official said President Ram Nath Kovind and Union Home Secretary Amit Shah would likely attend the stadium’s dedication ceremony on February 24.
Details of the inaugural event have not yet been finalized, he said.
