‘In it together’: Shoaib Akhtar calls on Pakistan to help India cope with Covid crisis

Shoaib Akhtar took to his YouTube channel to urge the Pakistani government and its fans to help India deal with the second wave of the Covid-19 virus. Akhtar said global support was needed to help India in such a health crisis.

“It is impossible for a government to tackle the current crisis. I call on my government and my fans to help India. India needs a lot of oxygen tanks. I ask everyone to donate and fundraise for India and deliver oxygen tanks to them, ”Akhtar said in a video on his YouTube channel.

“India is really struggling with Covid-19. Need global support. The health care system is collapsing. It’s a pandemic, we’re all in the same boat. Must become the support of the other, ”Akhtar tweeted.

India has registered more than 3.46 lakh of new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The rapid rise in new cases has brought the total number of infections in India to over 1.66 crore. Of these, more than 25.52 lakh cases are currently active while more than 1.38 crore have recovered after testing positive. With 2,624 new deaths, the death toll now exceeds 1.89 lakh.
