MI head coach Mahela Jayawardene said Hardik has not played in the IPL so far due to a shoulder issue.
Since returning from back surgery he underwent in 2019, Hardik isn’t playing as much as he used to.
“I miss my bowling, but I don’t think it puts pressure on my stick. I’ve played my whole life as a versatile player and I’m just learning to face it and move on with life with a smile, ”Hardik said before the game between MI and Punjab Kings started.
Hardik had played regularly in the five-game T20 series against England last month before turning his arm once in the following three-game ODI series as part of his workload management.
