Daniel Christian seals incredible victory for Sydney Sixers over Brisbane Heat

In the 35th game of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2020-21, Sydney sixers defeated Brisbane Heat by 3 counters at Carrara Oval in Queensland on Sunday.

Chasing 149, the Sixers didn’t get off to a good start as they lost Game 1 Josh Philippe (7) in the second more upset by Jack wildermuth. Soon, Mujeeb ur Rahman join the party after dismissing James Vince (15 years old) in the fifth plus.

Wildermuth and Mujeeb continued their momentum after choosing two more wickets in the form of Jack Edwards (10) and Jordan Silk (3) to reduce Sixers to 54/4 inside nine overs.

Then skipper Daniel hughes and versatile Daniel Christian took charge of getting Sixers out of trouble. The pair added a much needed 72-run partnership for the fifth wicket to move the game to their side.

Hughes marked his 10th BBL half-century with six limits. He looked ready to go a long time, but James bazley sent him back in the 17th plus.

Christian, for his part, continued to score points and find limits at the right time. He put pressure on the opposition bowlers and smashed a winning shot to get his team to the finish line. Christian scored undefeated 61 of 38 deliveries at an impressive 160.53 strike rate with three fours and five sixes.
