IPL 2021: CSK, led by MS Dhoni, concludes INR 75 Crore deal with Skoda.

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021: Due to the most loyal fan base over the years in the Indian Premier League, Chennai Super Kings has endorsed many brands. The immense popularity of MS Dhoni in yellow jersey attracts more feathers to the gold hat of the three times champions. CSK has partnered with many brands since the inception of IPL and has been successful in raising awareness of the parties involved. Now ahead of the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), CSK has signed a massive deal with the auto giant.

The agreement between CSK and Czech Skoda:

Auto giant Skoda will be the title sponsor of the Chennai Super Kings for the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. The franchise left the deal with Muthoot Group, which was CSK’s main sponsor, and partnered with Czech giant Skoda.

In place of Muthoot, CSK led by MS Dhoni will be seen with Skoda for the next three years.

According to reports from Indoor sports, CSK will receive a gigantic INR 75 crore for showcasing Skoda as the main sponsor of the franchise. Previously, the Muthoot group paid 65 crores CSK INR to be the main sponsor of the team.

Despite being the constant performer of the cash-rich league, CSK has experienced a massive downfall in the past year. The team led by MS Dhoni finished second to last on the points table, however, Skoda showed confidence in the leadership of MS Dhoni and partnered with the franchise on three occasions.

CSK’s 2021 IPL auction challenge:

Management released a few players after a poor run in the previous Indian Premier League season. CSK knowing the intensity of the auction did not play with many players and only released a few.

Kedar Jadhav, Harbhajan Singh, Monu Singh, Piyush Chawla, and Murli Vijay are some of the notable names released by the franchise.

When participating in the IPL 2021 auction, CSK will be an aggressive buyer and would like to acquire good talented cricketers (overseas and at home). With a purse value of INR 22.9 Crore left to spend on players, CSK can chase talent to acquire it.
