It’s not often that bowlers manage to pick up a loot from five wickets in IPL history and the current edition of the IPL has already added two more bowlers to the roster. This is a great achievement for the bowler given that all the limitations for him in the modern generation and the game have drifted much more towards the batter than the bowlers.

Pakistani left arm point guard Sohail Tanvir was the first bowler in IPL history to take a five wicket stroke in the 2008 inaugural edition. He finished with 6 wicket numbers for 14. races at a splendid economy rate of 3.5 in his move to four against the Chennai Super Kings in Jaipur. Tanvir’s performance helped Rajasthan win the game against CSK in the group stage.
