Abu Dhabi T10 League: Chris Gayle shines with 22 balls 84

Chris Gayle tore up the Maratha Arabians’ bowling offense to crush 84 unbeaten on 22 balls including nine sixes and six fours to guide the Abu Dhabi team to a nine-wicket victory at Zayed Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Chasing the Maratha Arabians’ moderate tally of 97 for 4, Gayle helped his team hit the target in 5.3 overs with 27 balls in reserve.

He reached his half-century in 12 balls and tied the fastest fifty in T10 history held by Mohammad Shahzad for Rajputs in the 2018 edition.

Previously, Abu Dhabi won the draw and chose to play. 18-year-old UAE opener Alishan Sharafu scored 33 points, while Pakistan international Mohammad Hafeez contributed with 20 points.
