At the upcoming IPL 2021 auction, franchises may target Australian uncapped left arm stimulator Ben Dwarshuis, 26, who impressed in the recent Big Bash League 2020/21.
Ben Dwarshuis is the best left-arm bowler of the current Big Bash League season. Serving the defending champions Sydney Sixers, Dwarshuis had 21 wickets in 12 matches (average 17.42; economic rate 8.81; strike rate 11.8). In this BBL season, he also managed a four-wicket turn (4/14).
Additionally, as a lower order left-handed batsman, Dwarshuis can make a very crucial contribution to his team.
However, Ben Dwarshuis is not a new face among IPL franchises. In the 2018 IPL auction, Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab fought for him and the Punjab franchise ultimately won this battle by submitting a bid of INR 1.40 crore. Although Dwarshuis did not play a game that season and was later released from the squad ahead of the 2019 IPL auction, he may be an important name in the upcoming 2021 IPL auction.

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP)
At the 2018 IPL auction, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) made a strong bid for Ben Dwarshuis and ultimately bought him out. But the left arm stimulator did not play a game that season and KXIP released it before the next auction.
While KXIP is familiar with Dwarshuis and they only have young Arshdeep Singh as their left arm stimulator, the Punjab franchise can once again make a strong bid for this Australian cricketer. Also, KXIP has five slots available for overseas cricketers and they need good stimulators.
