Brendon McCullum would go on to become one of the most influential cricketers in New Zealand cricket history. He led the team to their very first appearance in a World Cup final. Although they lost in the final, McCullum became the biggest name in the Kiwi camp.

McCullum’s career took a huge leap forward after scoring 158 in the IPL opener. He beat all of the RCB camp bowlers out of the park. He later joined Kochi Tuskers in the IPL. But the most defining part of his IPL career came when he joined CSK.

McCullum opened for CSK with Smith. Although CSK already had a lot of options, they chose McCullum. It turned out to be a masterstroke as he succeeded for CSK.
